Futuroscope Park - Poitiers
This new water park combines water and technology to offer bathers an immersive spectacle.
Innovation in this park is not limited to technology, but also encompasses sustainable development. The AQUASCOPE project will create 14,086 m² of green space with tall trees to create functional habitats for local biodiversity. The filter marshes play an essential role in the project, limiting water consumption, supporting biodiversity and adding an aesthetic touch to the park. They can also be used to recover and purify swimming pool water for reuse in other sectors or for irrigation. A large meadow planted with grasses and perennials accompanies the ponds, encouraging biodiversity with a wide variety of plant species. By installing nesting boxes for birds, hotels for insects and shelters for small mammals, Parc Aquascope is seeking to obtain the French biodiverCity label awarded by the Conseil International Biodiversité & Immobilier (CIBI).
