Rue du Commerce will be laid out as a single plateau, without a defined carriageway, to give pedestrians a central place to stroll.

A cobbled limestone floor will enhance the facades of the shopping street and affirm the identity of this emblematic Bourges thoroughfare. Rue du Commerce and Rue Moyenne follow the main routes of the Roman city.

A few lines of corten metal (skateable steel) and antique cobblestones will be inserted into the pavement to punctuate the walkway and introduce the colors of Place Cujas.
