SURF VILLAGE
Taghazout - Morocco
The landscape master plan is organized along several axes: The layout of the cottages is based on the existing vegetation. The eucalyptus trees (present in large numbers on the site) will be preserved to benefit from the shade they provide. The village faces the sea. The sunshine is therefore optimal. The bungalows are facing the spot of Taghazout, to the north/west or the beach of Tamghar, to the south/west. Their implantation respects the existing vegetation in which they are inserted, their orientation will be precisely adjusted in order to optimize the views of each unit. The village’s fabric is quite loose. In this way, better circulation is possible as well as better handling of the material. Moreover, this organization allows to maintain long homogeneous natural spaces between the “clusters” of bungalows. The facilities and collective are located so as to offer a view towards the waves, facing Taghazout. Placed on the edge of the village because they are taller and more massive (R+1), they leave the views within the village free.
